I have such great friends and recently had the opportunity to hang out with Justin and Kellie out at Green Frog. They get married this May (right after we all graduate!) and I couldn’t be happier about their marriage. There are a lot of photos, but here are a few of my favorites.

The image on the left is a proofing press, used to create proofs before moving to the letter press. The images on the right are closeups of the letter press and a lead mold for creating your own type.

I’m super ashamed to say I have no pictures of the letterpress. I guess in my excitement I got caught up playing with the thing and didn’t take any photos. More to come though!

Kite Buggying
This was one of the coolest experiences I’ve ever had in my short little life. I was driving in to Nevada and saw in the distance these bright colored kites flying in the air. I pulled off the road and drove a few miles on a dried lake bed and came to the international convention for kite buggying (yes, its a sport). The culture was so welcoming and God gave me the best lighting I could ask for. Watch this video for a few more images: http://vimeo.com/10711490

I decided to create my own type for a project I was working on. Here are the letters in their raw form.

My goal this year is to spend money on good, healthy food instead of eating out as much. I’m normally pretty good at this but wanted to experiment with new recipes. Attempt 1: Chai Latte. Verdict: 4/5 stars.
I made this for my roommate and I. I threw all of my vegetarian leftovers in a pan and covered it with eggs and spices. Eggs-ellent!
