I call myself a graphic designer first and foremost because the challenge of good design has kept my mind’s creative juices flowing more than any other medium. I have skills and passions in many areas of print and web design, videography, photography and project/team management. Live productions are a guilty pleasure of mine. There is something about the stress and planning that makes watching the final vision come alive so rewarding.
I have been called a pragmatist and while that might sound boring, I love the mixture of clean type, natural texture, and photography in order to bring my designs to life. I’m inspired by photography (taking and observing photos), live music, collaboration and letterpress art.
Where I’m Headed
I thrive on change so I have made it a goal to explore the culture around me as much as possible. In my quests, I have met a lot of unique people and cherish the different relationships I have forged. As I continue to evolve as a designer, I have found myself exploring mediums apart from the digital world.
In the past months, I have been dreaming of taking my business in a new direction. With the encouragement and help of many friends, I am starting an effort to save a small print shop in West Tennessee. My hope is to build this print shop in to a working museum that will engage a digital world with the traditions of our past.
I am calling it Green Frog Press and I would love for you to follow my adventures through our blog. I hope to grow my portfolio through the art of letterpress.
Please contact me to discuss your graphic design, photography, or printing need.
My website is hosted through Bluehost. Give it a try!
